Playa Papagayo beach is a picturesque beach with soft white sand and turquoise water. The beach is surrounded by rock walls, although paths have been created for easy access. The water is great for swimming, even for children, as it is shallow and calm. Bring your snorkeling gear and wade out to view exotic fish through the glassy waters. Umbrellas and beach chairs are not readily available, so be sure to bring your own equipment.
